In this advanced workshop, we will cover key methodological considerations and practical skills for using MAXQDA to analyze image, webpage, video, and audio data. Relevant features include importing webpage, image, and media documents; using MAXQDA’s manual transcription features; tips for coding, paraphrasing, and categorizing media segments; and reviewing coded segments. Attendees are encouraged to have some basic knowledge of MAXQDA, although this is not required.

​
Pei-Jung (she/her) holds a Ph.D. in Qualitative Research Methodology from Indiana University Bloomington with a minor in Learning Sciences. For over ten years, she has demonstrated her strong qualitative and mixed methods research experience, as evidenced by her journal publications and international conference presentations. She is a MAXQDA professional trainer since 2021 and has delivered over 30 workshops to date. Leveraging her experience in various qualitative research methodologies and analytical approaches, she offers consultation ranging from research design and materials to data analysis and writing. Examples of these methods and analytical approaches include ethnography, case study, art-based research, narrative inquiry, participatory research, thematic analysis, video analysis, and discourse analysis.
